At nine months, Teo doing really well with training and socialization. He has been completely house-trained for many months and sleeps until around 8 am before going out. He is now in the intermediate level of obedience class which means we go on group walks through downtown Decatur and practice going into stores, waiting calmly with owner at outdoor restaurants, and waiting outside tethered while owner goes into a store. He is working on “heel” which he does most of the time but still gets excited by squirrels sometimes. He knows all the basics- sit, stay, down (lay down), off (furniture, person, counter), wait ( at doors or to cross the street), stay (while owner leaves and returns). Leave it, drop it, place, & crate time. He sleeps soundly all night next to our bed on his own bed.
He is great in the car- loves to go anywhere and I make a point of taking him wherever dogs are allowed. He is great at dog parks- friendly but polite and will move away from conflict without showing fear . He’s generally friendly with people but is a vocal watchdog with a big bark. He’s kind of a “talker”- he will make funny grumbly noises to get my attention. He is playful and can be silly in spite of his regal appearance. He loves to play with his chew -proof rubber ball and he’s good at catching balls in the air. He routinely goes in long, 2-3 mile walks with me but he will also settle down next to me while I’m reading, working on the computer, or cooking. (He’s laying quietly next to me now)
Finally, He gets a lot of attention in public because he’s so handsome.

He came into our home crate trained, potty trained, noise trained (doesn’t freak out with vacuum/music/cars/loud noises) and pre-conditioned to be washed and groomed. The puppy is food motivated so training is a breeze. At 10 weeks he already knows all the simple commands you’d want your puppy to know. Sit, Lay down, wait, go potty, come, look at me, settle, stay, drop it. He also has been trained to sit and wait for his food/water for as long as it takes to release him with an “okay!” Command. Abner Creek have become a second family to us, aswell as all the other families that have selected from this litter. I look forward to watching Nash grow along with his brothers and sisters.
